This programme was designed for professionals working in technical and vocational education and training, a field that equips young people with practical skills for employment. Those who manage and lead TVET institutions and programmes need strong management and leadership abilities of their own. The training introduced participants to core principles of effective management and leadership and showed how they can be applied in technical education settings.
Participants explored topics such as leading teams, communicating effectively, planning and decision-making, and motivating instructors and staff. Through discussion and practical activities, they considered the particular challenges facing TVET institutions and how better leadership can improve the quality of training offered to learners.
